It is my pleasure to announce that the new luxurious five star Weligama Bay Resort will finally be inaugurated in August 2008. The resort will have 24 rooms, bungalows, villas, suites and a large garden with palm trees and other tropical plants. Let me provide you herewith, with some key facts about the resort.

Location

The newly built resort is located on the beachside in the middle of beautiful Weligama Bay, on the border of Weligama town and Pelena village. This convenient and safe location on the southern tip of Sri Lanka, between the historical port town of Galle and the provincial centre Matara, provides you with the opportunity to visit many nearby places of interest such as the ancient Galle Fort, the amazing Sinharaja Rainforest, exploring the Yala or Bundala Safaris or simply just sailing in the Weligama Bay.
